>Synopsis: ksu uses host/UQDN rather than host/FQDN when FQDN is available
>Severity: serious
>Priority: medium
>Category: krb5-clients
>Class: sw-bug
>Release: 1.4.1
>Environment:

System: SunOS sfire-17.ecse.rpi.edu 5.10 Generic sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V240
Architecture: sun4

>Description:
In contravention of standard and convention, even when src/tests/resolve
shows the resolver as functioning properly, ksu insists on using the
unqualified domain name of the host, rather than its fully-qualified
domain name, in order to generate the host principal name for which it
        will look.
>How-To-Repeat:
        Use ksu.
>Fix:
A functional, though stupid, workaround is to create a host/UQDN
        principal in the kerberos database.
