compiling with LibreSSL -- especially on OpenBSD

Måns Nilsson-3
greetings,

having discovered that OpenBSD threw out its (a bit too old) heimdal in
the last release I'm trying to build 1.6rc2. First stumbling block is
of course OpenSSL cruft, more specifically egd:

./.libs/libkrb5.so.26.0: undefined reference to `RAND_egd_bytes'

I'm not about to use egd, so would like to remove support for it. Any hints?

Why don't you ever enter any CONTESTS, Marvin??  Don't you know your
own ZIPCODE?

Perhaps you’ve seen this already, there is a FreeBSD bug regarding heimdal/LibreSSL:
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=198527

(patch included in the bug report, don’t know if it works though...)
