Erata about my previous mail:
The first test is the only one which fails in gss_import_name as claimed Douglas E. Engert.
The other ones fail in the gss_init_sec_context method.

The return code of 2045022973 is defined in gssapi_err_generic.h as
#define G_VALIDATE_FAILED                        (-2045022973L)

If you used the gss_display_status, it would produce redable text.

Try using the ethereal program on the clientto trace network activity. It might
show what is goinhg on, including Kerberos traffic with the KDC.
